RoomBrief

Features

Everything RoomBrief does for LINE groups

From linking @roombrief to archiving files LINE would delete, scheduling AI digests, and sharing results with your team — in one workspace.

Compare plans and storage limits →

LINE-native ingest

Add @roombrief to your group, link the room to your workspace, and messages flow in automatically.

In-chat bot commands

Type #summary, #status, #help, or #notify in the group. #help is a swipeable carousel by role. Admins can toggle attachment digests in LINE; new AI runs show a credit estimate before you confirm.

Message browser & chat preview

Table or read-only chat simulation — search text, LINE image albums, quoted-reply jump, copy messages, unsent markers, and one-click summarize for the filtered date range.

Attachment storage

Photos, documents, and stickers from LINE are saved to your workspace. Each plan includes storage (MB); buy add-ons in the app when you need more — similar to topping up LINE, but tied to your archive and summaries.

AI summaries you control

Pick models, language, and instructions. Run on a daily schedule or trigger manually.

Export anywhere

Download CSV or sync summaries to Google Sheets for reporting and handoffs.

Scheduled digests

Set a daily window so summaries land before stand-up — no one has to scroll hundreds of messages.

Team workspaces

Invite colleagues with roles. Link your personal LINE account under Settings → Profile so the bot recognizes you for #link-gen and admin commands — separate from linking a group.

In depth

How each capability fits your workflow

RoomBrief is built for high-volume group chats where messages, files, and decisions cannot be lost.

LINE-native capture

No custom LINE Official Account required. Add the official @roombrief bot, link the group once, and every new message and attachment is copied into your workspace.

  • Link from the web app or generate a code in an already linked room (#link-gen / #สร้างโค้ด)
  • Redeem with #link '{'code'}' in the target group — one-time setup
  • Per-room language and AI instructions override workspace defaults
  • Active room limits enforced at link time so plans stay predictable
  • #help / #ช่วยเหลือ — swipeable Flex carousel by role (admin, member, guest)
  • Settings → Profile → Connect LINE — links your identity for admin commands (LIFF), separate from linking a group

Attachments that outlast LINE

LINE chat media expires after a retention window. RoomBrief stores photos, documents, and stickers in your plan quota while the bot remains in the group.

  • View and download files from the dashboard after LINE removes them from the thread
  • Storage quota per plan (MB) with credit-priced add-ons in the app
  • Optional AI descriptions for images to enrich summaries
  • Quota notifications in LINE when storage is full
  • Optional attachment digest in LINE when files upload — off by default; one batched message instead of spamming per file (toggle in Settings or #notify)

Browse chat history in the app

Every linked room has a Messages tab: switch between a sortable table and a read-only chat simulation that feels like LINE — without sending from RoomBrief.

  • Shared date filters across table and chat; Summarize range opens the dialog with the same dates
  • From a summary card, View in chat jumps to the matching period in chat simulation
  • Search message text; copy to clipboard; deep-link to a specific message
  • LINE image albums shown as a grid; partial sets labeled when not all photos are loaded yet
  • Tap a quote to scroll to the original; unsent messages marked as withdrawn
  • New-message badge when you scroll up; jump to latest refreshes the tail
  • Table view for quick scanning; lightbox, inline video/audio, and attachment links

Summaries on your terms

Choose OpenAI or Google Gemini models, set daily schedules, or run summaries on demand. Credits meter actual AI usage beyond included plan allowances.

  • Custom summary instructions per room or workspace
  • Scheduled digests before stand-up — no manual scrolling
  • Manual runs for ad-hoc date ranges when you need them
  • Model choice and language resolved room-first, then workspace
  • #summary in chat — existing links for anyone; new AI runs for workspace admins or whoever linked the room, with credit estimate + confirmation

Share and export with the team

Keep colleagues aligned with role-based workspaces, spreadsheet sync, and summary links that respect LINE group membership.

  • Invite teammates with roles — shared rooms, storage, and export settings
  • Download CSV or append rows to Google Sheets automatically
  • Short summary share links back to LINE with LIFF member verification
  • Optional auto-share to LINE after scheduled summaries (uses credits per delivery)
  • Bilingual audit log for billing, storage, summary sharing, LINE profile link/unlink, and notify settings

Dashboard

Read-only chat simulation

Review what was actually said in LINE — albums, quotes, search, and summarize the period you are viewing.

  • Table or chat view with the same date filters — Summarize range uses what you selected
  • View in chat from any summary card opens the room on that period
  • Search stored text; copy messages; shareable links to a specific message
  • LINE multi-photo albums render as a grid (with a count when still loading)
  • Click a quote to jump to the original; withdrawn messages stay visible but marked
  • Badge for new messages when you are scrolled up; read-only — nothing posts to LINE

Connect LINE

Link groups in minutes

Connect each LINE group to your workspace, then link your personal LINE account in Settings so the bot knows who you are in chat.

Official LINE bot

Search for @roombrief in LINE or use the button above, then invite the bot into the group you want to summarize.

  1. 1

    #link-gen · #gen-link · #สร้างโค้ด · #ขอโค้ด

Post in a room that is already linked to your workspace. Workspace owners, admins, or members whose LINE account is linked to RoomBrief. RoomBrief replies with a one-time code.

  2. 2

    #link RB-XXXXXX

Add @roombrief to the target group, then post this once with the code from the app or from #link-gen. The group becomes an active room in your workspace.

You can still generate codes from the RoomBrief dashboard. Thai and English commands work the same way.

Group link vs profile link

These are separate: a group link ingests chat into your workspace. A profile link ties your LINE user ID to your RoomBrief login so owner/admin commands work in LINE.

  • 1Group: code from the dashboard or #link-gen, then #link RB-… in the target group
  • 2Profile: sign in to RoomBrief → Settings → Profile → Connect LINE (opens LIFF; no summary token needed)
  • 3Guests in LINE can still open summary share links without a RoomBrief account — profile link is for workspace members only

In-chat commands

Run RoomBrief from the group chat

Linked groups accept hashtags in Thai or English. The bot replies in-thread — often using LINE’s reply token, so quick actions stay free.

#help / #ช่วยเหลือ opens a swipeable Flex carousel for workspace admins, linked members, and group guests:

Summaries

  • #status · #สถานะ

Room status — full detail for admins, abbreviated for members, minimal for guests.

  • #summary · #สรุป [date]

Summary link for yesterday, today, YYYY-MM-DD, or a range (2026-05-01 – 2026-05-07). Default: yesterday.

  • #summary latest · #สรุปล่าสุด

Link to the most recent completed summary.

  • #confirm · #ยืนยัน | #cancel · #ยกเลิก

Confirm or cancel a pending new AI summary after the bot shows the credit estimate (or tap in-chat buttons).

  • #help · #ช่วยเหลือ

Swipeable command guide (Flex carousel) ordered by your role.

Connect & setup

  • #link-gen · #สร้างโค้ด

Generate a one-time link code — workspace members only (not casual group guests).

  • #link RB-XXXXXX

Connect a new group to your workspace.

Files & notifications

  • #notify on · #notify off · #แจ้งไฟล์ เปิด · #แจ้งไฟล์ ปิด

Workspace owners/admins only (requires linked LINE profile). Turns batched attachment digests in this group on or off — default is off.

  • #notify · #แจ้งไฟล์

Show whether digests are on for this group and the workspace default.

How permissions work

  • In-chat replies use LINE’s reply token — requesting an existing summary link does not charge share-link credits (per-user cooldown applies).
  • Anyone in the group can request links to summaries that already exist.
  • New AI summaries (including date ranges) can be started by workspace owners/admins or whoever linked the room with #link. The bot shows a credit estimate and asks for confirmation (#confirm / #cancel or tap buttons) before running.
  • #link-gen and #notify require a linked LINE profile (Settings → Profile) plus workspace owner/admin role — not for casual group guests.
  • Attachment digests are off by default; when enabled, uploads are batched into one LINE message (not one reply per file).
  • Sharing from the dashboard or automatically after scheduled summaries (when enabled) posts LIFF summary links to LINE and charges a small credit fee per delivery — separate from free in-chat link replies and from profile linking.

Data security

Built to protect LINE chat data

RoomBrief separates workspace access from in-chat sharing. Summaries and files stay in your organization boundary — with verification when links leave the app.

Who can see what

Workspace owners, admins, and members sign in to the web app with role-based access. In LINE, admin commands (#link-gen, #notify) need a linked profile (Settings → Profile). Casual group guests can request existing summary links; new AI runs require an admin or whoever linked the room.

LIFF links verify live membership

Shared summary links open in LINE with LIFF. We verify the viewer’s LINE identity token and check they are still a member of that group or room before showing content. Copied URLs or expired tokens are blocked.

Short-lived share tokens

Summary URLs carry a signed token that expires in about five minutes. Request a fresh link from the bot or dashboard if it lapses — there is no anonymous public summary page.

Encryption and private storage

Sensitive integration credentials (for example Google Sheets refresh tokens) are encrypted at rest. Chat attachments are stored in private object storage behind your workspace quota, not on public URLs.
